The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is often criticized for spending billions of dollars on space exploration when “we could use that money here on Earth”, as some people say. Well, I’ve always been a fan of NASA’s and this site — Everyday Items Developed By NASA shows you why the space agency is worth every dollar we taxpayers put into it. Besides helping us land on the moon and explore the solar system, NASA scientists have developed dozens of products that have eventually found their way to consumers here on Earth. Things like artificial limbs, cell phone cameras, MRI and CAT scans, solar panels, and UV-blocking sunglasses were all developed as a result of NASA research.
