For millions of people who live on the East Coast of the United States this is a scary time, with “Perfect Storm” conditions coming together to create massive destruction in a wide swath across the Mid-Atlantic states. If you want to keep up on the progress of Hurricane Sandy and the other storms that are supposed to collide with it, go to the National Hurricane Center, where you’ll find satellite maps, forecasts, updated warnings, projections, and lots of other data. This is a good site to bookmark, because it has lots of useful information during hurricane season, although people in the Mid-Atlantic region don’t normally have to worry about hurricanes and tropical storms to this extent. Although, with global warming on the rise, maybe we’ll have to prepare for these kind of storms more frequently.
